The Universe just gave Earth a three-nanosecond warning that everything is about to change.
Forever.
Whether or not Earth noticed was entirely up to First Lieutenant Bud Kennard.
Lt. Kennard was the Extraordinary Incident Alert Watch Office on duty at the Cronatos Hybamper Joint Field Command Center, which is hidden away somewhere near Humper's Creek, Alabama.
But Kennard was baffled by what he saw. So, he bumped the problem up the chain of command.
Unfortunately, no one in the chain of command grasped what the hell was going on either.
Earth's time was running out.
But the international show its caretakers stumbled through next was something between a poorly rehearsed Roman circus and a hilarious script written by Dr. Strangelove.
